I was asked to redesign this website.
Being a UX designer, I didn’t want to just give this site a facelift, rather, a simplified user experience. Users needs easier access to information, contact information and less distractions along the way. The old site boasted 11 site pages, filled with long paragraphs and repetitive data.
I began with a full content audit of the entire site. I ended up with over 25 pages of content, much of which was redundant and could be better organized. I showed the content to the client who was shocked by the overwhelming amount of information.
I told the client of my plans to reduce the site to 5 pages; Home, About, Services, Resources and Contact Us. Each page purposefully reduced the amount of clicks, consolidated information and better informed the services the company provided.
A simple, embedded email form would streamline the email process and get the client/business conversation started faster instead of users hunting for an email or phone number.
